Mid-Year Review

Summer is here and July is just around the corner. And what does that mean for us planner girls?

You got it, NEW PLANNERS!!

For planner addicts the beginning of July is almost as important as the 1st January. The beginning of July is our like our second chance; a clean slate. It’s time to reevaluate how we plan, make some changes and endeavour to do better before the end of the year.

It’s a second chance to reach our goals, or at least move closer to them, we can try again to be more productive and generally just get things done.

For me this couldn’t have come at a better time. For the last few months I have, to put it mildly, been ‘winging it’ with a very basic planning system (read cheap shorthand pad) and my productivity has been suffering.

It didn’t help matters when I decided to split my blog and ended up with three separate ones and accompanying social media. It may see a little excessive but it’s working out quite well, although it is still early days so we will see.

So let’s take a look at my everyday set-up

I have decided to go back to basics a little for the rest of the year and have stripped everything back initially until I’m comfortable with my system.

I’m still using my gorgeous Uglydori from Michelle and Trevor at Ugly Bug Leathercraft and am using the following inserts.

On opening my Uglydori I have this gorgeous dashboard from Little Rainbow Moon on Etsy which houses my everyday bullet journal inserts.

After this there is a card insert around my week on two pages insert from Queen Mabel and Doris. Keep watching for more details on the launch of the new shop and reviews on some of the other inserts I’m using.

My third insert is my month on two pages from Travelers Times and that makes up my everyday planning section.

On my second set of strings I have my 2017 collections insert which is a grid Moleskine Cahier notebook. As the name suggests, this is where I keep any collections relevant to this year only.

My final two notebooks make up part of my GTD system and are also from Travelers Times. The first houses my current next actions and current project lists, while the second contains my someday/maybe lists. I’m continually tweaking my GTD setup and will share once I’m happy with it.

So there we have my everyday set up which I will be using from the beginning of July. I don’t now how long this will last but I’m hoping that my new system is going to help me stay organised and on track as I work towards my 2017 goals.

Have you made any changes to your planner set up for the rest of the year? If not, are you planning to?

Don’t forget to hop over and check out the other girls in the Planner Girls Collective to see their set ups and what changes, if they are making.
